Trollge Universe Incident is a free experience for Roblox that heavily features the viral internet troll meme. The basic mechanics of the game are both resource collection and PvP battles. You’ll need to run around the map looking for chests of various kinds, within which you’ll find different items to use or troll faces to equip. Each troll face has different strengths that you can then use during PvP battle.
If you’re looking for variety, look no further than Roblox. This is essentially one of the most diverse gaming platforms in the industry that will have you surfing subways in Subway Surfers one minute and then doing whatever a spider can in The Amazing Spider-Man.
Who is Trollge?
Trollge is one of the many troll face characters that have become a staple in today’s meme culture. While the troll face characters started out as fairly innocuous parts of the internet landscape, the sort of ‘stock’ troll faces diversified into different faces, each representative of a separate aspect or interest of the human condition. Trollge, for example, is known as the harbinger of chaos and primarily appears in memes that deal with existential dread.
Humans love contemplating existential crises of various kinds from time to time, and memes that feature Trollge present their minds with potential horrors to focus on to distract them from the horror of their own lives - most notably the dull, mundane, repetitive nature of modern existence.
Gameplay
As briefly touched upon in the introduction, the game revolves around you collecting different troll faces. While, historically, Trollge is the face of one particular troll, the name Trollge is ascribed to all of the troll faces in the game. As mentioned earlier, your objective is to find chests.
Within these chests, you’ll find one of four in-game items; King’s Arm, Paper, Cursed Orb, or Holy Orb. These four items each have a chance of spawning various entities. The King’s Arm, for example, has a chance of spawning the Trollge King. The Trollge King is an incredibly difficult boss to beat, and he spawns with 7000 health points.
Chests
There are four types of chests in Trollge Universe incident; standard chests, dark chests, light chests, and skin chests. All chests present the player with a chance to find various trolls, apart from the skin chest, which simply gives the player skins for the troll to equip. Chests also sometimes contain cups. There are two types of cups - oil cups and blood cups - and each gives the player a troll face.
Oil cups typically give players common trolls, while blood cups are the custodians of uncommon trolls. Defeating bosses is another way to unlock chests - although these will, in all likelihood, be rarer than those found in the world.
As innocuous as the meme
This game isn’t going to give you incredible graphics or knock-out gameplay, but if you enjoy internet meme culture and adventure games, Trollge Universe Incident is a solid game to try.
As with the various troll face memes, the game is prone to posing more questions about the term Trollge than it answers, but it’s still a fun playthrough.
